The ladies section at Chasetown Football Club are, like the men, currently preparing for the new season.
However, like many women’s teams throughout the country, the support and financial backing on offer to them is far less than that of their male counterparts.
Last Friday, the ladies held a fundraising evening and are keen to engage local people and businesses with the women’s side of the club.
Chasetown’s Carly Edwards says: “We are a very well established team and we compete at a high standard in a league that stretches across the West Midlands….”
